Open RP Post? OPEN RP POST!!

This one isn't specific to any one universe at all.
It could be Gwen's original universe. It could be a different fandom all together. It could be *anything*. The girl hops through the multiverse. It's bound to happen. Just...be nice if it's not a fandom I know and I get stuff wrong, okay?
BUT! just as before:
Post a quote. An image. A song. A starter. A meme idea we can roll with. Just gimme. Let's have some fun.
End Game Dad!verse
Twenty minutes later they were on opposite ends of a building going up in flames trying to get as many survivors out as possible. He knew it was pointless to try to ask Gwen to leave it to the Avengers, she practically was one by this point. Instead, he listened for her check ins and tried to get as much done as quickly as possible.
"Twenty third floor is clear. Heading up the stairway. Gwen, check in."
Re: End Game Dad!verse
Maybe they could get McDonalds or something after this. That still counts as a meal with dad, right?
She's two floors above him where the fire isn't that bad but oh, is there ever a lot of smoke. Thankfully, the suit Mr Stark made her filtered out a lot of it, but there's still the occasional cough from her as she answers back.
"Found the janitor. He's a bit singed. But the rest of my floor is clear."
Another cough. "Twenty fourth floor is built like a maze, so be careful, okay? Adam pulled up blueprints. That floor is the pharmaceutical laboratory."
Re: End Game Dad!verse
"I'll clear it, you get some air and then check the East stairwell for anyone that needs help getting down."
"Tony?"
"Scan shows two people on twenty four and they came prepared with masks. Looks like our bombers are after something in the maze."
"Meet me up there." He slips through the stairwell door and moves down a long hallway, checking doors as he goes. The smoke is thicker up here and he immediately feels his throat tighten.
Tony's voice cuts through the silence. "Shit, half of twenty just collapsed. Give me a second to get some of the firefighters out of the way."
Re: End Game Dad!verse
"I'll get the guy downstairs, but then I'm coming back." Because like hell is she staying back. Not with the two guys in the building.
"Mr Stark, how's the stairwell I'm in? Any unwanted guests coming my way, or am I good to get this guy downstairs without too much fuss?"

Tony suddenly cut out and the building groaned and then shifted, the floor slanting to the north. Steve suddenly found himself skidding along the floor as the building began to shift.
"Sam, get to Gwen on twenty five!" He's able to stop his fall by jamming a shield in a doorway momentarily until a filing cabinet comes hurtling his way. He punches it away, but the jolt is still enough to break his hold and he slides further before smashing into a wall. "Sam!"
"I'm on my way!" Steve can only imagine what Gwen's status is above him with a civilian in tow.

"This is the pits," she mutters to herself, looking above as her senses go off again. Part of the ceiling is sliding their way and Gwen is quick to move, firing off webbing and lowering herself and the janitor down the tilted floor and to somewhere slightly safer.
The ceiling crashes through a window, but Gwen and the janitor are safe for now.
"Uncle Sam, there's an open window near me. You see it?" A violent shudder from the building and a door opens above. When Gwen looks up, she spots the two masks Tony talked about. They haven't spotted her just yet, but she's not really counting on going unnoticed.
"Oh, please tell me you see the window. I've got company."

Two seconds later he was at the window, reaching out for the janitor so that Gwen would have more ability to use her webbing in case the building decided to collapse further. A shot rang out as the two men above them spotted him and he threw up one of his wings to deflect it away from them.
"You want to climb on?" He asked Gwen. "I don't think the building is going to last much longer."
Below them, Steve was trying to make his way through the slanted floor in order to escape, climbing and falling with his shield. through the office and lab equipment that kept land sliding towards him in each room. He opened another door and was surprised when there was nothing on the other side. The floor had given way completely to a huge hole in the side of the building. He glanced up and caught sight of Gwen and Sam being fired upon. "Gwen, get out of here!"

Another few shots ring out and Gwen can be seen frowning behind her mask. Why she still wears the mask after she outed herself to protect Peter when he was outed by that terrible reporter, she doesn't know. Habit, maybe.
Anyway...
Passing the janitor to Sam, she looks up at the masks again before looking at where her dad is shouting for her and for a moment, she remembers when she had an entire building fall on her.
But she really, really can't leave these guys on their own.
"What about them?" she asks Sam, frowning as more bullets fire off. She takes a quick moment to shoot webbing at the guns, clogging them. This seems to be enough to get the masks running back into the stairwell and down. "Oh...uh...hey, dad? I think they're headed your way."
And with that, she nods at her uncle. "Get me out of here?"

Still, there was a reason he hadn't told Gwen about the ceremony in DC. As close as they were, he didn't know if she'd understand or want to understand why he'd give the shield away. He'd planned on talking to her about it, but then he'd gotten called up for his mission and there just hadn't been any time. He's sure she won't be happy that she had to learn about it on the news rather then from Sam himself.
He let himself in through the kitchen side door, sniffing appreciatively at the gumbo on the stove and ruffling the heads of his nephews at the kitchen table. Sarah gave him a sympathetic look and glanced towards the stairs. "She's in her room."
Technically, it was Sam's old bedroom, still full of the posters and remnants of his high school career. There was a few yearbooks that Gwen had been quick to bring out and laugh at his school pictures and the short lived dance group he'd been a part of. It still had his name on the door, though Gwen or one of the boys had marked it out and put hers under it. He knocked on the door.
"Hey, Gwen. I'm home."

And second and most important, he was one of the good guys of this world. There were so many videos on youtube about The Falcon and Captain America that Gwen could watch for hours, plus it helped when she got to fight alongside the other Avengers. They made a pretty good team.
She heard him come into the house. Hell, she heard him arrive before he even set foot on the porch, spider-hearing alerting her to her dads presence. She'd just gotten on FaceTime with Peter, catching up with him about school and all and making plans to play a video game together later, but Gwen cut the talk short.
Heading to her bedroom door, she pulls it open and greets Sam with a grin.
"Hey," she says, half-smile on her face. "You okay?" She can tell he's not, and she saw the news footage. But it's probably best to not ask outright. Let him talk if he wants.

"How's Peter?" He asks, knowing without a doubt that the two of them have already talked to each other as least once today. The two were doing their best despite the distance, but he knows its hard for kids their age.

"He's good. We're going to be playing 'Among Us' later on and then watch something on Netflix." A shrug and a smile that absolutely tells of just how much she's looking forward to spending time with Peter. Welcome to dating in the twenty first century, or something.
"He says hi."

"Aren't you supposed to be in that self involved teenage period of your life?" He asks, giving her a small grin. Still, he takes the question as an invitation and moves inside the door, sitting on the corner of the bed. He sighs, looking down at his hands. "I did what I thought was right, Gwen. I know Steve gave me that shield, but Captain America... that's not who I am."
He looks over at her, ready to change the subject if she wants to. "I bet he did. He say when he's coming out here to visit?"
Crawfish 101 a.k.a. adopted family bonding
That was about when it was done and Sarah hefted the big pot off the heat and to the dump table where it was, aptly enough, dumped. A self serve banquet awaited from there. Gwen was encouraged to help herself to some of everything, except the beer. Sarah made that very clear. But took a seat next to her to instruct her on the finer points of how to 'properly' eat crawfish. In truth there were as many right ways to eat it as there were family recipes for gumbo in the NOLA.
"Well there are traditional ways to eat crawfish, most people just eat the tail meat and that's fine. It's good. That's where the meat is." She demonstrated by pinking up what looked like a miniature lobster giving it a twist behind the legs and separated the head from the body. She gripped the exposed meat with her teeth and pulled it out and chewed the tail meat. Her other hand still held the head, and after she finished chewing she held that up as well.
"Now the real Cajun thing, is bite the tail, suck the head. See when you boil the crawfish all the seasoning and flavor gets steamed and goes right up to it. So you just put it to your mouth," She looked at her expression and laughed. "No, I'm not kidding." She put the edge of the crawfish where she'd broken the tail away to her lips and sucked out the juice as one might suck on a lime when doing a shot.
She tossed the finished crawfish down and sipped her beer. "And that is how you eat crawfish. But you don't have to do the head if you don't want to." She snickered thinking that might be a bit much for the girl.
